LOS ANGELES TIMES: Eric Stephens reports Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke has given Teemu Selanne and Scott Niedermayer until the June 21-22 entry draft weekend to decide if they'll be returning with the Ducks next season or not. Burke said both players won't have the previous luxury of re-joining the team midway through the season. Burke also expressed confidence in re-signing forward Corey Perry, a restricted free agent in July who could receive an offer sheet from a rival club if still unsigned by the Ducks at that point. Burke said he doesn't have the tagging cap space right now to re-sign Perry but expects he will by July 1st if the salary cap goes up for next season by as much as he expects. Burke also said he'd love to re-sign backup goalie Jonas Hiller although he points out the wildcard is he could receive an expensive offer from overseas. Impending UFA Doug Weight won't be re-signed while Joe DiPenta's future with the Ducks could be tied to Niedermayer's future plans.

SPECTOR'S NOTE: Selanne probably won't be back but Niedermayer could, and if so DiPenta might not be re-signed. Perry will be re-signed by July 1st, probably for between $4-$5 million per season. Hiller had expressed interest previously in returning with the Ducks but it could depend on how much they offer and what he might get overseason.
